Welcome Back, Dr. Harley Davidson
Atlanta Old White is proud to announce Dr. Harley Davidson as the new Head Coach of the Men’s 7s program ahead of the upcoming competitive season.
For many around the club, Harley’s return is more than a coaching appointment — it is the continuation of a relationship built through competition, culture, and shared standards. As a former Atlanta Old White 7s player, Harley was part of the club’s 2022 journey to Club 7s Nationals, where the team finished the weekend as Shield championships. He already understands what the jersey represents and the level expected within the program.
Originally from Boise, Idaho, Harley developed into one of the top collegiate rugby players in the country during his time at Life University. A four-time All-American and team captain for the Running Eagles, he built a reputation not only for his athletic ability, but for his leadership, consistency, and professionalism inside high-performance environments.
Following his collegiate career, Harley advanced to Major League Rugby where he competed professionally with the Colorado Raptors and Rugby ATL. Known for his finishing ability, work rate, and competitive edge, he gained experience inside elite systems that demanded discipline, accountability, and execution under pressure.
Now transitioning into leadership on the coaching side, Harley brings that same mentality into the next chapter of Atlanta Old White Men’s 7s.
His coaching philosophy centers around discipline, defensive structure, accountability, and creating an environment where players are challenged to grow both on and off the field. More than simply building talent, the goal is to build resilient teams capable of competing together at a high level.
Joining Harley this season is returning Strength & Conditioning Coach Dr. Paul Caron, who also enters his second season on staff with Atlanta Old White. Over the last two seasons, Dr. Caron has served as the club’s 15s backs coach and led the Men’s 7s program as head coach during the previous campaign. His continued involvement brings valuable continuity, experience, and a deep understanding of the standards and culture being built within the program.
Together, the coaching staff brings a combination of elite playing experience, player development, leadership, and performance-focused preparation as the club continues building toward the future.
As Atlanta Old White prepares for the upcoming season, the appointment of Dr. Harley Davidson represents both continuity and evolution — a leader who understands the club’s culture, believes in its standards, and is committed to pushing the program forward.
Welcome back, Coach Harley.
