Atlanta, GA – May 17, 2026 – The Atlanta Old White Rugby Football Club (AOWRFC) delivered a commanding performance this past weekend, defeating North Bay 32-10 in the 2026 USA Club Rugby Division II National Championship final held at the Chicago Blaze Rugby Complex in Lemont, Illinois. This victory marks the club’s second consecutive national title, a back-to-back achievement that had not been accomplished in the division in over three decades—since Santa Rosa did so in 1993/94.

The win solidifies Atlanta Old White’s place among the elite in American club rugby. Coming off their historic 2025 championship season (a 39-8 victory over Boise United), the squad demonstrated resilience, skill, and depth throughout the 2026 playoffs, continuing a remarkable run that has defined the program in recent years.

Founded in 1974, Atlanta Old White is one of the Southeast’s oldest and most storied rugby clubs. Originally established to foster competitive excellence in the growing Atlanta rugby scene, the club has built a rich 52-year history of developing players, leaders, and community advocates both on and off the pitch. From multiple South Championship titles to national finalist appearances in 2005 and 2019, Old White has consistently represented Georgia rugby with pride and tenacity. The club’s 50th anniversary in 2024 celebrated generations of alumni who have contributed to its legacy of sportsmanship, brotherhood, and excellence.

“This back-to-back triumph is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and culture of our players, coaches, and supporters,” said a club spokesperson. “To achieve what no team in our division has done in more than 30 years is incredibly special. We’re proud to carry forward the legacy of Atlanta Old White.”

The club extends its gratitude to fans, families, sponsors, and the broader rugby community for their unwavering support throughout the season.
